No matter where you are across the US or around the world, a loyal group of Hurricanes is just around the corner. The global UM Alumni Association charters 'Canes Communities to reach out to alumni, families and friends to keep that green and orange bond alive!
Miami Herbert alumni can participate in the School's annual Business Plan Competition in many ways, from competing in the Alumni Category to supporting the competition as judges and sponsors. Josh Fu (pictured right), who graduated from the School in 2010 as an international finance and marketing major, won third place and $4,000 in the 2017 competition for Haathi Cloth, which aims to produce modern, comfortable and machine-washable kurtas, an outfit worn at Indian weddings and dance competitions.
The Launch Pad at the University of Miami offers free resources for alumni entrepreneurs, along with current students. Since 2008, The Launch Pad has helped with more than 3,700 clients, more than 2,400 ideas, and more than 350 companies, all while creating more than 1,100 jobs while working with alumni and students.
The UM Alumni Association (UMAA) offers programs, resources, and relationships for alumni to manage professional success.
