Offered by University of Miami Herbert Business School and the Pro Athlete Community (PAC), these exclusive virtual courses are designed for current and former professional athletes.

The University of Miami Herbert Business School, in partnership with the Pro Athlete Community (PAC), is proud to offer exclusive educational opportunities designed for current and former professional athletes. PAC is an elite network that connects the biggest talent in sports with the brightest minds in business, creating executive courses for athletes to excel beyond the game.

Through transformative education, mentorship, and industry connections, these virtual executive courses empower athletes to pursue their next chapter with confidence, purpose, and authenticity. Together, UM and PAC honor the grit and determination that define professional athletes—helping them channel their drive into meaningful careers and lasting success.

Before you apply, you must become a member of the Pro Athlete Community (PAC).

How to Apply

  • Step 1: Confirm your eligibility as a PAC Member. Not a PAC member? Apply here.
  • Step 2: Explore and select the virtual courses that best fit your goals.
  • Step 3: Complete our online application form.
  • Step 4: Your application will be reviewed in partnership with PAC.
  • Step 5: Receive your admissions decision by email within 14 business days.
  • Step 6: Enroll, get started, and begin earning stackable certificates of completion.

Virtual Next Chapter U (NCU)

Every journey starts with a strong foundation: We strongly encourage athletes to enroll in Virtual Next Chapter U before any other program.

Virtual Next Chapter U (NCU) is a six-week, live online program from the University of Miami Herbert Business School and the Pro Athlete Community (PAC). Recommended as the first course for athletes, it lays the foundation for success by building the mindset, skills, and network needed to thrive beyond sports. Participants strengthen leadership and business expertise, explore new career paths, and graduate with a University of Miami Executive Education Certificate of Completion—equipped to get the most out of future programs.

Frequently Asked Questions

We know athletes often have unique questions as they consider their next step. To help, we’ve gathered answers to the most common inquiries about our programs, from eligibility and enrollment to course format and outcomes.

PAC defines “Pro Athlete” as an individual who competes, or has competed, in sports or athletic events as their primary occupation, earning direct income for athletic performance, participation, or results through contracts, prize money, stipends, or sponsorships tied specifically to competition from a recognized professional league, Olympic governing body, or international sporting federation. *This does not include collegiate athletes.
Participants should apply through the University of Miami’s application form.
Payment is handled by the University of Miami through a secure payment portal. Participants must first apply to the program, be notified of acceptance and receive a unique link and code to proceed to the payment portal.
After you have applied for the course(s) you’d like to enroll in, your application and eligibility will be reviewed by the Pro Athlete Community (PAC). You will be notified of your admissions decision within fourteen (14) business days. If you are accepted into the program, your acceptance email will include a unique link and access code to enroll in your courses.
