Yellow Ribbon Program & GI Bill

What it is
The University of Miami participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which works with the Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) to help cover tuition and fee costs not fully covered by the VA.

Who qualifies
Veterans or eligible dependents with qualifying post-9/11 service who are approved for Chapter 33 benefits at the 100% level. Eligibility is confirmed by the VA, and students must maintain satisfactory academic progress.

The Yellow Ribbon Grant applies to the Fall and Spring semesters only.

Scholarships

  • Hurricane Heroes Scholarship
    $1,000 scholarship available to graduate students who have served in the military.
  • Dean M. Fogel Business Endowed Scholarship
    $4,500 scholarship with special consideration given to U.S. veterans.
  • Double 'Cane Scholarship
    $5,000 scholarship for graduates of a Miami Herbert Business School degree program.

VR&E Assistance

Miami Herbert Business School may provide assistance with the necessary documentation for submission to your VR&E counselor.
