Marketing, Minor for Non-business Students

Complement your major by developing foundational skills to promote products, services, and ideas.

Objective

The marketing minor provides students with an understanding of the basic concepts of marketing, with an emphasis on emerging techniques and technologies. Students studying art, advertising, or media, for example, can add this minor to tailor their primary area of study to the business environment. Those pursuing more quantitative degrees can augment their studies with the quantitative and tech skills used in today’s marketing practice.

What You'll Learn

Students pursuing the flexible minor in Marketing build upon a core foundational course by completing four additional upper-level marketing electives offered by the Department, which may include luxury marketing, brand storytelling, consumer behavior, digital marketing metrics, text and image analysis, or market research.
