Annual GPL Research Proposal Competition

An annual research proposal competition to promote interdisciplinary research in the leadership and governance field open to all Miami Herbert faculty as well as doctoral students

  • $1500 award to be used for research related activities
  • Select research topics funded by the competition have included the effect of cultural background on perceptions of leader uncivility, political discourse at work, and corporate fake news on social media
  • Past winners include: Cecily Cooper, Associate Professor, Department of Management for the research proposal of “Political Discourse at Work”; Rosy Xu, doctoral students, Department of Accounting, for her proposal of “Corporate Fake News on Social Media”.

Teams Research Incubator (TRI)

A unique opportunity for scholars to collaborate, share knowledge, and drive innovation in the study of teamwork and leadership.

  • Interdisciplinary Approach: Incorporates perspectives from diverse researchers in various academic fields.
