It is highly encouraged that any undergraduate student at UM considering any of the following alternative pathways consult with their home school Cane Navigator for appropriate guidance and possible impacts on graduation.
Below are some clear and attainable pathways to help you pursue your academic business interests at UM and long-term career goals:
You can apply for an internal transfer to Miami Herbert from your current school or college at the University of Miami.
To qualify, you’ll need to complete MTH 161 (Calculus I) with a grade of B or higher, complete one semester in residence while maintaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA and your final 45 credits must be completed exclusively and consecutively at the Miami Herbert Business School. Please note that depending on your current math level, you may be required to complete other prerequisite math courses before enrolling in MTH 161.

In consultation with their academic advisor (Cane Navigator), students in other schools and colleges of the University may choose to pursue a minor for non-business students in one of the following minor areas of specialization: Business Law, Business Technology, Economics – Political Economy, Economics – Quantitative Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Health Management and Policy, Management, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, Sustainable Business.
